Re: Shindig / Codfucker
You recorded this in APRIL?! Why didn't you send this before this before?
This is what I had in mind. Don't release "Mudworm..." at all. All right,
here are my comments:
GONE TO STAY - This has been a show-opener for a while and
it's a great way to open the album. Nice version, good choice.
WHERE WERE YOU? - Covering a Mekons song is hip right now. It won't
be in a few years. Nice choice.
IT'S YOUR SPINE - This is an old Bloody Hawaiians song, right?
I like it. So far, so good.
ASSAULT TV - I thought this was called "Bacteria".
WHOLE LOTTA PARANOID LOVE - This kids will love this. Very funny.
HITCHHIKE - Can you clean up the lyrics? It sounds like radio hit.
Good.
SHE'S A WIRE - Strange version... oh well, it works.
THE CHAIN - A Fleetwood Mac song?! Damn, that's good! This is the
way the song should have been done. Good God, that's brilliant!
Yes, yes, yes, YES!!!!!
WIGGLY - If Cash Nexus sets foot in your studio again, kill him.
ROCK ME GENTLY - Neil Diamond? This has always been a favorite
of mine. Nice lyric, too.
PSYCHEDELIC MADHOUSE - Insightful, secretive, imaginative...
I like it. Nice closing number.
You told me the opening line was "Bend down, grab your ankles, and get
ready to take out a piece of you lower leg. Welcome to the Wckr Spgt
"SHIN DIG". Did you leave this out intentionally? I think it should be
there. Get Howard to do it.
Overall, I'd say we've got a winner. Good job, guys. Drop the "Codfucker"
from the title and let's get this out as soon as possible. I'm going to
Switzerland for two weeks but I'll call you when I get back.
Congratulations,
William Gwens,
