Wckr SpgtLive '91-'951995 :: Wckr Spgt MultiMediums :: USA
A band's evolution can be charted and tracked - like a ship at sea or a missle headed straight for the kinder-heart-en.
The path that Wckr Spgt trode into the 90s led them straight to a primrose pathogen that germinated, festered, and exploded into a ROCK AND ROLL act that swept the stage like a fine bristle broom.
Between 1991 and 1995, Wckr Spgt was puffed out at various times and in varied formations by the members of Nothing Painted Blue (Franklin Bruno, Kyle Brodie, and Peter Hughes), as well as Brendan Bell (from Bugskull), Howard Drucker, John Darnielle, The Bright Mountain Choir, and Roger Gee (The WOW Boy).
These concerts filled a very special void. A void of perhaps five years during which lifestyles were challenged, notions purchased, and noses rubbed. A lot. And there was clapping. Horrid, deafening clapping resounding like a million pointy lies piercing the hearts of the kindred throng. This period ended with the departure of Mark and John as they set out on different paths to pursue different goals and eat different cheeses.
This 2-cd set will serve to remind those clapping shiphands why they love a clean stage. Specifically, that stage between 1991 and 1995.
